The Stoa Way is deeply committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe that philosophy and personal growth should be accessible to everyone, and we are continually improving the user experience for all by applying relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
1. Accessibility Features Built Into Our Site
We have integrated comprehensive technical and user-facing features to ensure an inclusive experience:
Custom Accessibility Widget: Located in the bottom-right corner, our panel allows users to toggle High Contrast mode, Reduce Motion, switch to a Dyslexia-friendly font, enable Focus Highlights, and adjust text size across three levels (A, A+, A++).
Semantic HTML & ARIA: We utilize proper semantic tags (
<nav>,<aside>,<article>, etc.) and ARIA labels so that screen readers can easily interpret the structure and interactive elements of our pages.Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements, including our accessibility widget, are fully navigable using a keyboard.
Visual Accommodations: We provide descriptive alt text for all content images, utilize lazy loading for better performance, and ensure smooth scrolling while respecting
prefers-reduced-motionandprefers-contrastsystem preferences.
2. Ongoing Efforts
We utilize tools like sa11y to actively monitor and repair accessibility flags. While we strive to make all pages and content fully accessible, some future third-party integrations (like course platforms) may have limitations outside of our direct control.
3. Feedback and Contact
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of The Stoa Way. If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our site, please let us know so we can address them:
